The 3 component course, online, zoom, and hands-on, is designed to teach and inspire the student to grow in artistry and competence. Transgender patients and mastectomy patients are our target patients. A unique comprehensive approach takes the student through the proper steps to ensure that all patients receive a proper procedure. Practice Materials

  • Practice: All artists, including those in the field of medical tattooing or cosmetic procedures, agree that practice is crucial for skill development and mastery.
  1. Coloring Book: A coloring book with 26 pages serves as a starting point for the program. It contains templates and outlines of areola designs that students can practice coloring and shading techniques on.
  2. Case Study Sketch Pad: This is a tool for students to document their progress and practice. They can use it to sketch out different areola designs, take notes, and analyze their work over time.
  3. Flip Chart: The flip chart serves as a guide for students, providing step-by-step instructions or visual aids to assist them in the procedure. It helps reinforce the information they've learned and serves as a reference during treatments.
  4. Wipeable Stencils and Ruler: These tools are designed to be used directly on patients during procedures. They ensure precision and consistency in areola design placement and size. Being wipeable allows for easy cleaning between uses.
  5. Autoclavable Stencils and Ruler: Autoclavable materials can be sterilized using an autoclave, ensuring proper sanitation and hygiene standards are met in medical settings.
  6. Tools for Male and Female Patients: Recognizing anatomical differences between male and female patients is crucial for achieving anatomical correctness in the procedure. Providing tools specifically designed for both male and female patients helps ensure personalized and accurate results

Overall, these tools and methods aim to provide a structured approach to teaching and practicing areola design templates, with a focus on precision, hygiene, and anatomical correctness.

Practice Kit

Our starter kit coordinates with our comprehensive program. Teaching the basic steps using colored pencils and then growing into tattooing with hand tools provides a detailed basic education for the beginning technician. Eventually graduating into machine use is our goal.

Basic Education with Colored Pencils: Using colored pencils to practice drawing and coloring areola designs provides a foundational understanding of shape, shading, and color theory. This stage allows students to develop their artistic skills and gain confidence before moving on to more advanced techniques.

  1. Hand Tool Tattooing: Transitioning to hand tool tattooing introduces students to the practical application of areola design on patients. Working with hand tools requires precision and control, and students learn techniques such as outlining, shading, and blending to create realistic and aesthetically pleasing results.
  2. Machine Use: As students progress in their education, they graduate to using tattoo machines for areola tattooing. This stage involves learning how to operate the machine, adjust settings for different skin types, and achieve consistent results. Machine use may offer advantages such as increased speed and efficiency compared to hand tools.
  3. Continued Practice and Proficiency: Even after mastering machine use, it's important for technicians to maintain proficiency with hand tools. This ensures they are versatile and capable of adapting to different patient needs and preferences. Additionally, having proficiency in both hand tools and machines allows technicians to choose the best approach for each individual case.

By offering a structured progression from basic education to advanced techniques, our program equips technicians with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality areola tattooing services. This comprehensive approach prepares them to handle a variety of situations and deliver satisfactory results to patients.

This course has a drawing component and a hand tool section. A machine section is via Zoom or hands-on only. If you already have a machine, we will suggest your needles. The online course does not come with a machine, but we suggest some of our favorite machines that you can purchase on your own.
